How would you describe your personal style?
Minimal Modern Luxe. I like things to be simple but I worship quality and luxe materials.
I love the French ladies and lads: Pauline De Rothschild, Carine Roitfeld, Emmanuelle Alt and Jean-Louis Deniot. They do chic so effortlessly in everything – food, fashion and interiors.
Has your style changed over the years?
Yes, it has refined and simplified. For me, it’s all about “less” - but beautiful and amazing “less.”
What city in the world best exemplifies you?
Paris via New York with a little of the bohemian from LA.
Favourite era, fashion and style-wise?
Mid-Century France. For me, a Serge Mouille sconce mounted in a space with heavy Parisian mouldings is heaven.
Any pretty pieces from other eras you wish would come back?
Bedspreads. I am trying! They were so minimal and chic and made the bed look like furniture, not a big puffy mess.
Worst style trend ever?
My least favourite is Memphis – but it’s making a comeback. That, and the hair scrunchie.
Fave fabrics and colours?
I love the neutrals and naturals. Natural linen, charcoal grey, icy blue. I like to create an environment that is easy on the eye.
What are your personal style essentials?
Good jeans, a crisp white shirt and killer heels.
What's on your wish list?
A Les Lalanne brass deer desk.
