Glen & Jamie’s Top 3 Picks from the ICFF Fair in NYC
We were recently in New York City for ICFF—the International Contemporary Furniture Fair—which showcases high-end designs from all over the world to designers, buyers, members of the media and other show attendees over a four-day period at the Javits Center.
So much innovation to see, design to appreciate and beauty to be inspired by, here are our top three finds that set our designer hearts a-pounding in the Big Apple:
So much more than taps and toilets, TOTO describes itself as “Japan’s leading producer of sanitary ware and a name that has been synonymous with the advancement of bathroom culture since its creation in 1917.” What we saw at ICFF by this brand was design-driven innovation at its best with these stunning sinks. Sleek lines with modern proportions and completed with LED lighting on the circular one, they’re made from semi-clear epoxy resin that’s highly scratch and impact resistant. We love them!
Self-professed “modern American blacksmiths,” Hubbardton Forge’s modern day lighting with industrial appeal is on our want list in a big way. From pendants and chandeliers to sconces, table and floors lamps, the looks are timeless yet decidedly rooted in the now. We can’t wait to feature one of their pieces in an upcoming design project.
A world leader in the manufacturing and distribution of laminate, quartz, solid surface and other engineered surfaces, Wilsonart came to market with a unique way to showcase its materials through supporting and promoting up-and-coming designers with something they called The Chair Challenge.
